This has been a lackluster regular season. The season began with expectations of greatness by elite programs considered at their peak. And yes, Florida, Alabama and Texas are undefeated. But none has been as dominant as expected. Saturday, Florida staged an epic battle with Florida International while Alabama took on mighty Chattanooga and Texas disposed of free-falling Kansas. Thank goodness for the intrigue provided by this year's undefeated insurgents -- TCU, Boise State and Cincinnati. The Pac-10 provided most of the excitement with dramatic victories by Cal over Stanford and Oregon over Arizona. Oh, and someone at LSU should take Clock Management 101.
